Traditional Islamic Art has always been a classic! Its always adored by Islamic rulers and high-ranking nobles. If I guess it correctly, its probably because the supplies are extremely costly, require a lot time and labour, powdered forms of precious stones and gold and silver leaf.
Some of the different types of Traditional Islamic Arts that I have a lot of interest for are the ones inspired by the Ottoman Era which include:
Tezhip: (Ottoman Illumination)
The illumination is created surrounding Arabic Calligraphy text taken from the Qur'an or the Hadith. It's a very detailed border that uses bright natural earth pigments (Such as: Lapis Lazuli, Burnt Sienna etc.) and consist of gold or silvers that comes from gold-leaf or silver leaf. Illumination requires a lot of steps (from drawing a border, to transferring it to the paper, to filling the gold, to adding colours and creating all the details and outlines). The artwork is done on a thick paper that can easily be framed.
This type of traditional art has a different technique. This art requires a slow mixing of water and mainly gold with Arabic gelatin. This method starts from the colouring of the interior motifs and moves on to the detail outlines using the same colours (mainly gold). Most of this style of work is done on darker papers with bright light colours used for the artwork itself. This artwork is also created on a thick paper that can easily be framed.
NOTE: Because this kind of work takes up to lots of weeks and months, I have only been able to do a few pieces. Most of the pieces are sold out. You may place an order for a traditional Islamic Art piece minimum 3-4 weeks in advance.
See 'Traditional Art' category under 'SHOP ART' for more Islamic Traditional Art.
If you prefer simple pieces with Arabic Calligraphy as your main focus, then you can certainly get that here! You can get "Arabic Calligraphy" pieces in sets and as individual pieces.
Artwork can be done in any of the following scripts:
Most of the Calligraphy work done on canvases is with Acrylic paints. You can also find calligraphy work in Ink (See 'Traditional Art' under SHOP ART category).
Islamic Abstract Art
For all Islamic Abstract Art paintings, I use professional Acrylic paints as well as other mixed media to create various textures in the background. I use back stapled standard and gallery canvases.
All abstract pieces have multiple layers of paints and other mediums, creating a thick texture and makes it heavier in weight (compare to simple calligraphy paintings). All abstract paintings have a final varnish coat to prevent damage in texture and to ensure that colours do not fade.

Don't know what to gift your friend, family or spouse for their wedding? Well, I have some ideas to share with you! :)
Nikkah Contracts (Picture 1)
My most favourite is a Nikkah contract! You can order a nikkah contract (customize to match your wedding theme) and surprise your spouse! (This is what I did, and he absolutely loved it! :). If you want to place an order for a Nikkah contract, you have to let me know at least 1 month in advance.
Wedding Canvas (Picture 2)
To gift your friend or family member, You can order a custom piece with bride and groom's names with a verse from the Quran about marriage, or a dua' for marriage. You must place this order 2-3 weeks in advance.
This comes in many designs, colours and sizes. You can choose a heart shape, you can choose a motif, you can have names overlapping into a couple's logo, or almost anything!
Guest Signing Canvas (Picture 3)
You can order a canvas with bride and grooms' name, along with an ayah/dua about marriage and have a border on which the guests can sign. This is usually placed at the entrance of a wedding hall where all the guests can see and can easily sign. This also comes in various designs, colours and sizes.
